Want a quick and easy way of finding out what iTunes is currently playing?
Do you use Alfred?
This extension very simply Growl’s the currently playing song in iTunes!
Usage
Once it’s installed, all you have to do is type “np” into Alfred – yup that’s it…

Download & Installation
Assuming your a Powerpack user, all you have to do is download the extension and double click it.
This extension requires Growl.
I’ve thoroughly tested this extension using:
Alfred 1.3.1
OS X 10.8.2 (Mountain Lion)
iTunes 10.7.2
Growl 2.0

Thank you so much for this Extension! Quickly checking the song that is playing (or what album it is on) is something I do frequently while working and listening to music. Having to bring up iTunes in these situations is just tedious… thanks to you I won’t have to do that any longer

Hi ! Thanks for your extension, but I modified it a little to display the artwork of the current track and to remove the “track” “artist” thing. Here is a little screenshot http://cl.ly/0m3i0S341h3q3l0O342F (I also localized it to French since I’m a frenchman).
Do you mind if I release it ? (Of course your copyright is still in the applescript, don’t worry)
